Channel Five News has pledged to end the sickly practice of staged shots.

That being the case, they’ve won me over as a viewer – I cannot stand the blatant fakery that has become the norm on the Sky News and BBC News 24 broadcasts. Now, if Channel Five could also concentrate on actual news rather than whatever tiresome play for attention Paris Hilton is making, then it could be revolutionary.

This video of a model falling at Paris Fashion Week brought a smile to my face. 😀

I saw this interesting video of a new image resizing technique called Seam Carving over at James’ site, and very cool it looks too.

Funny to think that as applications like Photoshop have bloated up over the years, they’ve never really attempted to solve quite a common problem in this way.
