Earlier this year, when the tickets originally went on sale for the Who, kicking off their 50th anniversary tour at The Hydro, I scoffed at the price and made my peace with the fact I’d probably never get to see them live. Fast forward to three weeks before the gig and, by virtue of a workmate who had tickets but now couldn’t make it, I jumped at the chance and paid him the substantial face value to secure the pair of them for me and my mate Adrian.
I’m having a bit of a retro music day, listening to the Utah Saints albums from 1993 and 2000. This prompted me to check out their site to see how far off the long-awaited third album is, to discover it’s due this year and they have a new version of Something Good out next month.
I don’t think I’m as keen on the remix as I am on the original, which is one of my favourite electronic tracks ever, but the video for Something Good 08 is brilliant. See if you can spot where the dance moves are from before the end – I hadn’t worked it out, but I was thinking they looked somewhat familiar all the way through! 😀
I’m not overly keen on the heavy use of the fast-cut in Moby’s new video for the song Alice, but I do like the song.
The new album, entitled Last Night, is due out at the end of March in the UK and on the strength of Alice I’ll most likely be picking it up. 🙂
