Excuses, excuses

Due to moving over to a new server, I haven’t had access to make regular updates to the site over the last few weeks.

I’m going to try and get something sorted soon, though, as it’s about time my site had a proper admin system rather than going in via the database managment tool, phpMyAdmin.

I’m also trying to come up with a redesign while I’m at it, which has been a bit of a stop start process since I seem to be lacking inspiration at the moment.

As usual that could all turn around in a matter of days, so fingers crossed I have a flash of brilliance at some point. :o)

Sold the the highest bidder

I successfully sold the Nokia 3650 I out on Ebay. It went quite well, considering I didn’t pay extra for any promotion of the product, like giving it a thumbnail or bold text in the title.

Granted I only got about ?70 for it, but that’s fine by me – I get some positive balance in my PayPal account and somebody else gets to use a perfectly good phone that would have been gathering dust in a cupboard ’til the day I finally threw it out.

Fliss began to wonder what else we could get rid of, although I’m sure the things we could have sold for a decent amount have lost that luster a long time ago.

Still, it was pretty easy to offload the phone, now that I’ve done it, so it could pay quite well to have a hunt around for possible cash conversion opportunities.

Rachael and Andy’s wedding

It’s been a week since the wedding and I still cant remember enough about it to give a detailed report. Taking it down to basics, the ceremony was short and sweet – perfectly suited to the couple, actually, with the minimum of fuss and the maximum practicality. :o)

The rest of the afternoon involved drink – and lots of it. By the time the band were playing at around eight o’clock we were all quite merry. I managed to get myself Travolta drunk (i.e. to the point where I think I can dance!) and spent the latter part of the evening twirling bridesmaids (thanks for putting up with that Geraldine!) and generally hamming it up.

What was a shame was that the band were very good, as noted when we went to see them a few months back, but it was such a hot and humid day that most folk wanted to chill outside rather than get down indoors with the band. It was a bit odd seeing a team of polished musicians belting out cover versions to a very high standard and an empty room.

Ah well, at least I got down with the funky music, while Fliss recorded away on her camcorder and snapped away on the camera. When she’s got around to it the pictures will appear on her website gallery, I’m sure.
